Prioritizing books on my to-be-read pile can be a hard task for this reader who a) purposely tries to find books that I know I’ll love and enjoy b) is currently back at college, searching for any time to grab a non-school related book and read and c) is a mood reader.
However, I did get better about creating and publishing monthly TBRs in 2018. I’ve entered 2019 with at least five books (in honor of today’s Top Five Wednesday) on my priority TBR.
This Adventure Ends by Emma Mills- Emma Mills’ latest release, Famous in a Small Town, sounds like such a perfect contemporary for me- small town girl, friendship, and country stars- and I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about Emma Mills’ other books. As much as I do want to and will read Famous in a Small Town, I want to give one of her other books a try first, This Adventure Ends.
My Real Name is Hanna by Tara Lynn Masih- Tara Lynn Masih’s My Real Name is Hanna is an under-the-radar 2018 release– but it’s certainly not an under-the-radar release for my TBR. With comparisons to The Book Thief and Between Shades of Gray, this book couldn’t sound more perfect.
A Heart in a Body in the World by Deb Caletti- A Heart in a Body in the World was featured on so many favorite/best books of 2018 wrap-ups, so I soon hope to discover if it will be a 2019 favorite for me.
The Winter of the Witch by Katherine Arden- Sorry, but not sorry for how frequently The Winter of the Witch has popped up in my latest posts, but the need for this finale to the Winternight trilogy is very real for this fangirl.
This Is Our Story by Ashley Elston- Ashley Elston received a ton of hype from many of my most trusted bloggers, and her books have been frequently popping up on my Instagram feed. I plan on reading This Is Our Story first then moving on to her 2018 release, The Lying Woods.
Top 5 Wednesday is a collaborative group of book bloggers from various platforms who love sharing lists on Wednesdays. The T5W group can be found here on Goodreads.
Have you read any of the books above? What are you currently prioritizing on your TBR? Share in the comments!
I really enjoyed This Is Our Story! I listened to the audiobook and loved the way the mystery was revealed. I hope you enjoy it too!

Oooh, interesting picks! I’ve only read First & Then by Emma Mills but I really enjoyed and I want to read more of her works. Also, planning to start the Winternight trilogy in the future. 😊

I’m really excited to read First & Then since I’m a football fan. Have the best time reading The Bear & The Nightingale!
