I read a total of 113 books in 2018—the most I’ve read in one year! That being said, it was really difficult to choose my absolute favorites (and consequently couldn’t be cool and choose 18 for 2018).

Keeping up with every amazing book release definitely isn’t easy. While I’d love to read ALL the books, I acutally like keeping some books on my TBR for a bit longer so I have books that I’m super excited to read.
Today I’ll discussing the top five 2018 releases on my TBR that I’d love to get to in 2019.

Back in March, I decided to put more effort into my bookstagram and photos for the blog in general. By no means I am a ‘professional’ book Instagrammer, but I am still pretty proud of my photo skills and iPhone 6.
While I plan on writing a post about how I bookstagram, here’s the top three things I learned about bookstagraming this year:
-Craft stores are EVERYTHING, but you can also find so many props lying around your house (think blankets, table covers, FOOD, decorations,etc.)
-Daylight is EVERYTHING (at least when you’re using your cell phone and don’t have a lighting set up)
-Don’t hold yourself up to other accounts—this includes how your photos look and your follower count. Have fun and don’t worry about the stats

Lately, I feel like I have been conquering the 2018 release game. Which to some extent, I think I have! This year, I have read 23 new releases and 8 ARCs. I also just hit my Goodreads Reading Challenge by reading 70 books- my ultimate goal and real challenge now is to read 100 by the end of the year.
I’ve been loving everyone’s first half of 2018 recap posts, and while reading them, I realized that there are still quite a few January-June 2018 releases I have not read.
