5 Star Predictions: 2022 Edition

One of my favorite ways to kick off a new year of books & blogging is with five star predictions! There are just some books that you know (and really ultimately hope) will be 5 star reads. For me, most of my 5 star predictions include books from my favorite authors that I know have a 95% chance of being a perfect/5 star read for me or a book with a synopsis that sounds really amazing.

Weather Girl by Rachel Lynn Solomon | Release Date: January 11

Weather Girl is definitely a 5 star prediction case due to the fact that Rachel Lynn Solomon is one of my favorite authors (also why she is on this list twice). I loved her 2021 adult contemporary romance, The Ex Talk, and Weather Girl has another really unique synopsis, following a meteorologist and sports reporter who team up to get their divorced bosses together.

House of Sky and Breath (Crescent City #2) by Sarah J. Maas | Release Date: February 15

I honestly haven’t even really read the synopsis of House of Sky and Breath but I am obsessed with anything Sarah J. Maas writes and I loved House of Earth and Blood so much when I first read it in 2020 – I’m actually going to do a reread before reading this sequel!

Always Jane by Jenn Bennett | Release Date: March 29

When I say favorite, I seriously mean that Jenn Bennett is one of my FAVORITE YA contemporary authors and nearly any book of hers is often a 5 star read. I love the synopsis, set at a summer musical festival and it features a love triangle (which I haven’t read in a while!).

Book Lovers by Emily Henry | Release Date: May 3

Do I really have to say anything more than Emily Henry, let alone Emily Henry contemporary romance with another BOOKISH synopsis?? There’s so much I love about this synopsis already, from the main character taking a vacation with her sister to said main character being a literary agent and running into a broody & attractive editor again and again.

See You Yesterday by Rachel Lynn Solomon | Release Date: May 3

Again, Rachel Lynn Solomon is a favorite author of mine and I absolutely love her YA contemporaries. See You Yesterday especially appeals to me because the main character is a college freshman (I love college-set YAs) and it has a time loop synopsis, as the main protagonist is forced to repeat her worst day at college.

Rivals (American Royals #3) by Katharine McGee | Release Date: May 31

I am expecting a slam dunk with the third book in Katharine McGee’s American Royals series with Rivals. I am so, so excited to see where Katharine McGee picks up the series based on the ending of Majesty

Meant to Be Mine by Hannah Orenstein | RD: June 7

Hannah Orenstein’s Meant to Be Mine is one of my MOST anticipated releases of 2022. I just love her writing style so much and I love how the plot sounds – a woman’s grandmother predicts the day that she’ll meet the love of her life. On that day, she boards an airplane and sits next to a handsome musician..

A Very Merry Bromance (Bromance Book Club #5) by Lyssa Kay Adams | RD: Fall 2022

How could I not absolutely love this book that combines two of my favorite things: The Bromance Book Club and a Christmas/holiday read. I’m not only predicting that A Very Merry Bromance will be a 5 star read, but also that it will be my favorite holiday romance of the year.

What books are you hoping to be 5 star reads in 2022? Are you anticipating any of the books that I mentioned? Share in the comments!
