FINALLY GETTING TO THESE BOOKS: March 2021 TBR

I shared my March TBR last year around this time in honor of my then spring break, which ultimately became the spring break that never ended because I was sent back home from college within 48 hours at the start of the pandemic. As we all know, this March somehow looks both a lot different and similar as March 2020. Aside from continuing to live with the pandemic, I’m back at my college for my grad school program and of course still reading as much as I can between grad obligations and spending time with friends & family. I have spring break during the last week in March, in which I will be spending as much time away from my laptop as possible and eating up so many of these books & more – as per usual, I’m hoping to get to more books than the ones on this list, but the following books are my priority reads.

The Happy Ever After Playlist (The Friendship Zone #2) by Abby Jimenez – I just finished reading and really enjoying Abby Jimenez’s The Friend Zone, so I’m even more excited to check out the second book, The Happy Ever After Playlist, because so many romance readers are OBSESSED with this one.

A Pho Love Story by Loan Le – I mentioned that I recently borrowed A Pho Love Story from the library in my February 2020 book haul. I’m always ready for an enemies-to-lovers, and I’m really looking forward to diving into this one about two teens whose families own rival pho restaurants.

Unfollow by Megan Phelps-Roper – Unfollow is my non-fiction read for March. I’m about halfway through this book exploring Megan Phelps-Roper’s experience growing up in the Westboro Baptist Church. I really didn’t know anything about this group prior to reading her book – I tend to gravitate towards non-fiction books about religion – but I definitely see myself going down a research spiral after finishing this one.

From Blood and Ash by Jennifer L. Armentrout – I was 110% correct when I predicted that I would be in a fantasy romance book hangover after reading A Court of Silver Flames. I’m so glad I saved From Blood and Ash to dive into cure my craving for more ACOTAR like books.

The Ex Talk by Rachel Lynn Solomon – I’m not going to get into too many details since I’ve been mentioning The Ex Talk non-stop on the blog since it was first announced, but I’m treating myself to this very much anticipated romance once a big grad school project is submitted next week.

Kisses and Croissants by Anne-Sophie Jouhanneau  (ARC) –  You might know that travel has been the name of my YouTube and TV-watching game recently, so I’m excited to jump into this book about a girl’s summer spent at a ballet program in Paris.

For all She Knows (Potomac Point #3) by Jamie Beck (ARC) – I’m looking forward to checking out For All She Knows, since it’s gotten really great early reviews on Goodreads and I’m interested in checking out the intersection between female  friendship and motherhood.

Hopefully Will Get to These Books TBR

You Have a Match by Emma Lord – You Have a Match is one of my most anticipated YA 2021 releases, and after two months of being on the library holds list, it’s finally come in…but I’m not sure if I can read it now. I’ll be popping home this weekend for a few days, but I have some time-sensitive grad school assignments due soon and because You Have a Match has holds on it, I can’t renew it for another two weeks and bring it back to school with me. Maybe if I really eliminate TV time this weekend I can binge it in between homework.

The Midnight Library by Matt Haig – I added The Midnight Library to my TBR after reading so many rave reviews, but it got an extra boost on my TBR because it’s the Bad on Paper Podcast Book Club pick for March. I put this one on hold from the library, so hopefully I’ll get this one in time to listen along to the podcast book club.

What do you plan on reading in March? Any of the books that I mentioned? Share in the comments!

  1. Oooh so excited to hear your thoughts on A Pho Love Story – I’m hoping to get to it soon, too! and YES From Blood & Ash will totally cure your book hangover after ACOSF, and you won’t have to wait super long for the third book to come out in April! Hope you have the best month! ♥

  2. Looks like you’ll have a busy(but exciting) reading month! I had to add a few of these to mine but they definitely won’t be for March. 😆
