Spring Break TBR

I was so in the mood to read in February, but homework and other school obligations (and TV) definitely got in the way. I cannot wait to continue my reading excitement during my upcoming spring break, which starts for tomorrow night! I’m off from  school for the first full week in March and for a total of 11 days, including the weekends and the days where I don’t have class (even though I always have something to do on my ’no class’ days with me being me). In between catching up with my best friends and family anddddd doing homework, I want to dedicate so much time to reading, especially because I plan on diving into three of my truly MOST anticipated 2020 releases!

We Are the Wildcats by Siobhan Vivian (ARC) – Siobhan Vivian is one of my favorite contemporary authors. We Are the Wildcats is hands-down of my anticipated contemporary releases this year. Between its field hockey-inspired & female empowerment premise and my love for Stay Sweet, I really have high expectations for this one. I’m also so excited and grateful to be part of the upcoming We Are the Wildcats blog tour!

Chasing Lucky by Jenn Bennett (ARC) – Another book in my top three anticipated YA contemporaries of 2020, I am beyond excited to dive into Jenn Bennett’s Chasing Lucky. The synopsises of her books truly keep up-ing the Jenn Bennett book game, as the main character, Josie, moves back to the East Coast to help run her family bookstore and reconnects with the bad boy in town. I really want to read Chasing Lucky during spring break while I have time to relax and won’t be too distracted by school work, so I can 110% allow myself to enjoy it. I was fortunate enough to read an early copy of Serious Moonlight during spring break last year, so I’m looking forward to continuing this tradition.

Break Your Glass Slippers (You Are Your Own Fairy Tale #1) by Amanda Lovelace (ARC) – Amanda Lovelave writes such empowering poetry, so I’m even more interested to read her poetic retelling of Cinderella.

Crescent City/House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas – It’s no surprise that the 816 page beast I mentioned above is none other than Sarah J. Maas’ first adult fantasy book, Crescent City. I’m going to try and read the other books on my TBR before diving into it because I know there’s no way I’m going to be able to read two books at the same time in this case. I’m also really excited to actually go to the bookstore on March 3 and buy a copy for myself.

As a usual SJM pre-order queen, it’s been a while since I’ve gone to the bookstore on a book’s release day. As much as I really support pre-order camapigns, I’ve  run into problems with a few of my last SJM pre-orders- ACOFAS came about two weeks after it was released and I ended up having to go to the bookstore to buy KoA because the B&N warehouse ran out of special editions (still wrapping my head around this one being that I preordered back in that June).

Books I Also Want to Read, but may come back to school with me or wait until summer TBR season:

Blitzed (Playbook #3) by Alexa Martin- Alexa Martin’s first two books in her Playbook trilogy, Intercepted and Fumbled, stole my heart at the end of 2019. On the one hand, I’m a little sad I only have more book to go because I love this series so much, but I also can’t wait to read Blitzed because it co-stars one of my favorite Playbook characters, Brynn.

Tweet Cute by Emma Lord- Tweet Cute might ultimately end up coming back to school with me after break, but I’d love to try and read this one while home because I’ve heard so many great things about it!

newfireborder What are you hoping to read in March? Anything that I mentioned? If you have a spring break or vacation coming up, what are your TBR plans? Share in the comments!
