Us book bloggers (okay, ME) always talk about books that we need to reread.
I am definitely someone who’s been working on her rereading over the past two years -yes, my TBR still scares me, but we’re working on our relationship. I intend to reread the following books at some point this year, either for revisiting a favorite read or necessary for continuing a series.
FAVORITES REREADS
Stay Sweet by Siobhan Vivian
Stay Sweet was the type of book I went in expecting to love and I thankfully did. Siobhan Vivian has become one of my favorite contemporary authors. I’m really hoping her next book comes out this year, but nevertheless, I want to revisit Stay Sweet to re-experience those ice cream and summertime feels.
The Anna and the French Kiss trilogy by Stephanie Perkins: Anna and the French Kiss, Lola and the Boy Next Door, & Isla and the Happily Ever After
The Anna and the French Kiss trilogy is such a YA staple. I often reference these three book in Top Five Wednesday or recommendations posts, so I think it’s time to re-learn why I love this series so much.
Starry Eyes by Jenn Bennett
Jenn Bennett was one, if not my #1 favorite, of my favorite authors in 2018. Many thanks goes to the first book that I read of hers, Starry Eyes. It was one of those books that I loved while reading, but didn’t realize how much I really loved until after finishing it. If you’ve been here for a while, you’ll know that I can read summer contemporaries practically during any season, but I think a reread during the summer will be perfect.
Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han
I reread To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and P.S. I Still Love You during summer 2018, but I never got around rereading Always and Forever, Lara Jean. I am STILL struggling to figure this out because the final book in this trilogy is my favorite of the three and was my favorite 2017 read. No worries, I am coming back for you Peter K.
SERIES REREADS
Carry On by Rainbow Rowell
Like many, I am in the happiest shock still that the sequel to Carry On, Wayward Son, is coming out in 2019. I have much love for Carry On and while it isn’t my absolute favorite Rainbow Rowel book, I am so happy that one of the universes from my favorite book of hers, Fangirl, continues to grace our shelves. I actually have a pretty good memory of Carry On, but I wouldn’t mind the refresh.
The Legend series by Marie Lu: Legend, Prodigy, & Champion
On the contrary to Carry On, a series that I definitely need to reread because I practically don’t remember anything is Marie Lu’s Legend. I honestly did not expect a fourth book, but that doesn’t mean I’m not over the moon excited! Maybe my mind will change upon rereading, but Legend still remains as my favorite Marie Lu series. I am also really excited to jump into a dystopian series again.

I’ll be re-reading a bunch this year too. I want to re-read a lot of my favorites so I can post reviews and discussions and talk about things I’m excited about! Also, I’ve been intrigued by Starry Eyes for a while! I’ll have to pick it up soon!

I started my year by rereading Meg Cabot’s Mediator series! But I still need to read the Anna and the French Kiss trilogy 🙈. Is it bad that I wanted Lara Jean to choose John Ambrose in book two?! Peter K. drove me INSANE in the books – loved him so much more in the movie!

I haven’t heard of that series before, I’m going to have to check it out! I definitely found myself rooting for John Ambrose at times, but I’m a Peter K girl at heart! Anna and the French kiss is such a fun trilogy, hope you enjoy!
