While the new year is such a refreshing time, this fangirl is still getting over her Christmas spirit. Christmas time is always a good time for this reader and fangirl. While I wasn’t expecting too many fangirlish presents from Santa (my family) this year, I was so surprised, excited and fortunate enough to receive the following bookish and fangirl items.

Books

I didn’t go all out asking for books on Christmas list this year, mostly because I’m running out of bookshelf space and your girl loves supporting her local library.

Catwoman: Soulstealer by Sarah J. Maas- Since she is one of my all-time favorite authors, I make it a point to own all of SJM’s books, including Catwoman:Soulstealer. I still haven’t read this installment in the DC Icons series, but it’s definitely on my 2019 TBR. I also own Leigh Bardugo’s Wonder Woman: Warbringer and Marie Lu’s Batman:Nightwalker. All three books are signed!

Throne of Glass Collector’s Edition by Sarah J. Maas- I truly cannot get over the beauty that is the Throne of Glass Collector’s Edition. I love the slip case—I don’t like though how the bookmark is glued in there- the end pages, the color scheme, the intricate designs on the inside and outside, basically everything about it! Even though I don’t need a second set of ToG books, I wouldn’t mind seeing each book in the series get the collector’s edition treatment.

Until the Last Star Fades by Jacquelyn Middleton- I really enjoyed Jacquelyn Middleton’s London Belongs to Me, and her latest release sounds like the perfect read for me—NYC and a hockey player boyfriend! I don’t read too much NA, so I’m excited to give this one a try soon.

Alice in Wonderland Book Beau XL- I bought my first Book Beau at Book Expo 2018 and it’s become of my favorite bookish items. My family are quite the avid Amazon users, so Book Beau’s launch on Amazon has been all the more exciting for our shopping cart. This Alice in Wonderland Book Beau is exclusive to their Amazon store. While it doesn’t fit really big books, like HP or SJMs’ books, I really like the XL size—I can sometimes fit two books in one and the sleeve fits in most of my bags.

Dillon Panthers Sweatshirt (Friday Night Lights)- You may know from some of my wrap-ups that Friday Night Lights somewhat unexpectedly became one of my favorite 2018 TV shows. My dad is also a big fan of the show, so he knew how much I would love this Tim Riggins inspired sweatshirt.

Ron Swanson Mug- The amount of Parks & Recreation things I received this year is quite fitting, since I’ve been rewatching so much Parks & Rec over winter break. This is my actually second Ron Swanson mug and I honestly almost happy cried when I opened it.

I Heart Parks & Recreation Notebook- I love using notebooks for blogging and reading notes and for creating to-do lists- Leslie Knope would be proud.

Ron Swanson “I Regret Nothing” T-shirt- If you haven’t guessed already, Ron is my favorite Parks & Rec character.
