If I order one or eleven new book shelves from IKEA this week, there’s only one thing to blame: Book Expo and Book Con 2018. Can you really blame this reader for coming home with 38 books??
For the sake of this post not taking over your screen for 74 years, I’ve decided to break down my haul day-by-day And never fear, I’ll be posting experience posts for Book Expo and Book Con over the next two weeks. While getting 30+ books may seem contrary, I was strict with myself and only picked up books that I genuinely see myself reading and enjoying.TRUST ME GUYS, THERE ARE WAY TOO MANY AMAZING BOOKS THAT ARE COMING OUT THE REST OF 2018 AND THE START OF 2019 THAT YOU NEED TO READ!
Book Expo Day 1 (Thursday)
What I Want to Read NOW:Wildcard by Marie Lu, Dry by Neal Shusterman & Jarrod Shusterman, The War Outside by Monica Hesse, Odd One Out by Nic Stone, and Check , Please by Ngozi Ukazu.
Book Expo Day 2 (Friday)
What I Want to Read NOW:Muse of Nightmares by Laini Taylor, The Wicked King by Holly Black, A Very Large Expanse of Sea by Tahereh Mafi, Imprison the Sky by A.C. Gaughen (not pictured because post Book Con-tiredness & forgetfulness), and The Girl King by Mimi Yu
Book Con Day 1 (Saturday)
What I Want to Read NOW:Ace of Shades by Amanda Foody, Listen to Your Heart by Kasie West, Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan, and Sawkill Girls by Claire Legrand.
Book Con Day 2 (Sunday)
What I Want to Read NOW: City of Ghosts by Victoria Schwab, That’s Not What Happened by Kody Keplinger & Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik

Did you attend Book Expo or Book Con? What 2018 or 2019 release do you need immediately?? Share in the comments!
You got so much cool stuff, that’s awesome omg!!! ❤
Personally, I've never attended Bookcon or Book Expo, but I'd really like to! As for books I'm looking forward to, I'm excited for Famous in A Small Town by Emma Mills which is coming out in 2019 and Escaping from Houdini this year 🙂

Thank you! I had the absolute best time!
I didn’t know Emma Mills was coming out with a new book this year! I know Escaping from Houdini was available at Book Expo and Con, but since Stalking Jack the Ripper wasn’t my favorite, I decided not to go for it. Which was probably a good idea, because some of the lines were insane for it! I hope you get to attend one year!

Oooh I’m sure, I bet the lines were crazy. That’s what makes me so nervous about going haha!
Thank you 🙂

No problem! Lines can definitely get crazy (I was in a stampede for The Wicked King) but for the most part it can be pretty calm (at least at Book Expo).

I honestly can’t believe I have it! But if I could only walk out with one book this weekend, it had to be it! I would love to travel to ALL the book events, I hope you really get to do so!

I’ll be sure it share how I like (LOVE) it! I plan on reading it soon, after I do a quick Warcross reread.

I just found your page and I’m excited to read through your reviews! I love how you broke down all the books by day and the the extras by category.
Would you ever consider doing a post about BEA vs BookCon? Like what the difference is, how to get tickets to each, different types of admission, etc. I think I want to go next year but I’m completely confused and overwhelmed. LOL

Thank you!
And that is an amazing post idea that I will most definitely do! I think it would be a great opportunity to reflect on both experiences, and more importantly, answer all your questions! I may wait to do something like that closer to when Book Expo and Book Con tickets are about to go on sale (October/November) but I’ll consider doing it earlier!

I went to only BookCon this year but I think next year I am definitely going to try to go for BookExpo… I don’t have a big YouTube channel. Don’t know how strict they are. My blog have not been updated in months…. this post is making me want to do an update on my blog!
Jealous that you got Wildcard. Only got the sampler at BookCon… thanks for your sharing!

I’m so happy that I’m inspiring you to blog! I’ve been told that Book Expo does take bloggers from a wide range of subscriber/follower counts, so definitely try.
I made Wildcard my mission since I knew Book Con was only doing samplers. If I didn’t get it on Thursday, I would’ve gladly sat in her signing line for 2+ hours on Friday!
